The article “Randomized clinical trial ‘olfactory dysfunction after COVID-19: olfactory rehabilitation therapy vs. intervention treatment with Palmitoylethanolamide and Luteolin’: preliminary results” published on Eur Rev Med Pharmacol Sci by Prof. Di Stadio et al. is a very interesting study focusing on persistent smell or taste disorders as long-term sequelae of COVID-19 infection.

In particular, the research focuses on a three-phases therapy and demonstrates that treated patients recover olfactory functions after two months, as also explained by Prof. Di Stadio through an interview at Il Fatto Quotidiano (for the complete interview, click here: https://www.ilfattoquotidiano.it/2021/07/15/covid-recuperare-lolfatto-e-il-gusto-ecco-come-funziona-lo-sniff-test-messo-a-punto-allospedale-san-giovanni-di-roma-video/6261754/).
